Definitely an enjoyable read and I do always love when an author puts a unique spin on a universe. The color/class system is interesting and adds some additional nuance to what would otherwise be a relatively cliche story of the unsuspecting low level protagonist toppling the elite upper class. Once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down aside from a couple slow parts. It’s just such an easy story to get behind and so satisfying when well made villains get taken down. Definitely looking forward to book 2 to see where things go from here.
